Carbohydrate-electrolyte beverages for exercise-associated dehydration
Carbohydrate-electrolyte drinks, especially 4%–9% carbohydrate, may improve rehydration versus water when exercise has produced a fluid deficit and whole foods are unavailable. Variable studies do not support routine electrolyte products for normally hydrated daily life.
