RESEARCH METHOD
How Devices & Tools evidence is reviewed
The registry starts with exact identity and a claim. It does not start with a brand, star rating, or commission opportunity.
1. Identify the subject
Record the modality, manufacturer, exact model or generation, capabilities, relevant software or firmware, intended use, and source verification date.
2. Define the claim
Name the population, intervention or exposure, comparator, outcome, timeframe, and whether the question concerns effectiveness, measurement validity, safety, or usability.
3. Grade directness
Exact-product, same-technology, modality-level, indirect, and no-applicable-evidence are distinct. Evidence is never inherited silently.
4. Review the body of evidence
Keep supportive, mixed, negative, and safety findings together. Search results and manufacturer bibliographies are discovery inputs, not evidence counts.
5. Protect editorial independence
Affiliate availability, price, samples, and commission are stored separately and cannot change evidence language, inclusion, or ordering.
