L-carnitine and atherosclerosis progression in metabolic syndrome

Total plaque-volume change did not differ, while carotid stenosis increased more with L-carnitine. This safety signal and uncertain TMAO implications argue against cardiovascular self-treatment.

L-carnitine dosing after acute myocardial infarction
