Comparative bioavailability of ubiquinol and ubiquinone formulations

Water-soluble ubiquinone had greater exposure than standard ubiquinone, while ubiquinol was not significantly higher than standard ubiquinone. Absorbed CoQ10 appeared mostly as ubiquinol regardless of the swallowed form; the single-dose study assessed exposure, not clinical benefit.
